Opportunities for graduate study (in portuguese "Mestrado e Doutorado")

- Research involving quantitative methods to analyze vectorial capacity of pathogen transmission, including transmission of Zika virus, dengue virus, Chikungunya, malaria, Chagas disease. Topics on population dynamics and evolutionary dynamics involving strategies of biological control of vector populations (Wolbachia, gene drives).

- Research involving mathematical epidemiology and statistical inference. Topics include risk assessment of communicable disease transmission, modeling epidemic dynamics of diseases such as dengue, Zika, Chikungunya, tuberculosis. Methodologies for impact assessment of public policy interventions in public health, including using microsimulations.
